Color Writing


  • What are the three primary colors?
    • Red, Yellow, and Blue
  • How are secondary colors created? Cite an example.
    • By mixing two primary colors together, an example is a painter mixing Red and Yellow together to make Orange
  • How are tertiary colors created? Cite an example.
    • By mixing a primary and a secondary color together, an example is a painter mixing Blue and Green together to make Teal
  • What is the difference between subtractive and additive color models?
    • Subtractive is when you add the three primary colors and the result is black, and additive is when you add the three primary colors and the result is white
  • How can color affect our perception?
    • It can affect our mood, our rationality, our hunger, our ideas, it can affect just about everything about us
  • How does one color affect each other?
    • Certain colors make other colors pop or appear to have different shades
  • Find or show an example of a grayscale image
  • Find or show an example of a monochromatic image
  • Find or show an example of an image using complimentary colors
